BART + ALEXTwo brothers.
One shared
obsession.
We're Bart and Alex, two brothers from the Netherlands. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we were looking for a hobby we could enjoy together. We'd always loved games, but there was something about steelbooks that kept catching our eye: the artwork, the finish, and the way a simple case could become a collectible in its own right.
What started as curiosity soon became a project. With a particular focus on PlayStation, we began building a private database to document every PlayStation steelbook released, from the PS2 era through to the PS5, including special editions. Before long, we were buying bundles of steelbooks, and our own collection began to take shape. Today, our personal collection includes more than 700 steelbooks.
Along the way, we discovered an entire collecting community. From those first purchases to where we are today in 2026, we've made friends, built connections, and learned a huge amount about steelbooks: their editions, their details, and what makes each one special.
Today, that shared hobby has grown into specialist knowledge and a network of collectors across the world. Based in the Benelux, we bring years of hands-on collecting experience to every conversation. Our international contacts also help us track down exclusive editions and hard-to-find pieces for fellow collectors.
Looking for a particular steelbook, or an exclusive edition you've been trying to find? Tell us what you're looking for through Special Inquiry ↗. We'd love to hear about it and see how we can help.
